1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReferenceRoom ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Artist accounts require approval before content can be uploaded.

3. Licensing

All beats and reference tracks on ReferenceRoom are licensed, not sold. Each purchase grants a license with specific terms (Basic, Premium, or Exclusive) as described at the time of purchase. License terms are legally binding and included in the PDF delivered with each purchase.

4. Artist Responsibilities

Artists warrant that they own or have the right to license all content uploaded to the Platform. Artists must not upload content that infringes on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must use licensed content within the bounds of their purchased license. Exceeding license limits (streams, units) requires purchasing an upgraded license.

6. Payments & Payouts

All payments are processed through Stripe. The Platform retains a 15% service fee on all transactions. Artist payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. Subscription fees are billed monthly and non-refundable for the current billing period.

7. DMCA & Copyright

ReferenceRoom respects intellectual property rights. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Reported content is immediately hidden pending review. Counter-notices may be filed through the Platform. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not: redistribute licensed content without authorization, circumvent watermarks or DRM, create fraudulent accounts, manipulate play counts or reviews, or use the Platform for any illegal purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

ReferenceRoom is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
